Abstract:Nizkocenovni senzorji ponujajo nove priložnosti za ugotavljanje kakovosti zraka, vendar poenostavljeni načini zaznavanja onesnažil zahtevajo, da senzorje kritično ovrednotimo in validiramo.

Title:Validation of low-cost sensor systems for estimating an individual's exposure to airborne pollutants
Abstract:Low-cost sensors offer new opportunities for determining air quality, but simplified ways of sensing pollutants require that the sensors are critically evaluated and validated. Particulate and CO2 sensors were validated by comparing the results with reference sensors and using them in real-life conditions. With the results of our validation, where we found that the differences between the low-cost and the reference sensors are very different from sensor to sensor, and the data collected with volunteers, we prepared an informative assessment of the exposure of an individual to pollutants in the air. Our research has shown that low-frequency sensors have certain advantages, especially low cost and simple installation, but without validation and calibration, data should not be trusted blindly.
Keywords:Low-cost sensor, validation, pollutants, air quality, personal exposure
