Abstract:Magistrsko delo z naslovom Antigona: Opera skladatelja Tomaža Sveteta vsebuje opis skladateljevega življenja in načina komponiranja, seznam njegovih glasbenih del napisanih do vključno leta 2018, podrobnejšo analizo njegove opere Antigona, kratek opis preostalih Svetetovih oper ter seznam opernih del drugih slovenskih skladateljev do vključno leta 2017. Skozi analizo opere Antigona magistrsko delo podrobneje obravnava mit o Antigoni in uporabo le-tega v literaturi oziroma glasbi. Magistrsko delo se osredotoča tako na vsebinsko analizo opere (analiza zgodbe in nastopajočih) kot tudi na glasbeno analizo opere, ki je razčlenjena na posamezne scene. Kot dodatek so objavljene kritike po krstni izvedbi Antigone, ki je bila prvič uprizorjena v koncertni obliki v okviru 33. slovenskih glasbenih dni 18. aprila 2018 v Slovenski filharmoniji.

Title:Antigona: an opera by composer Tomaž Svete
Abstract:This master's degree thesis entitled Antigona: an opera by composer Tomaž Svete includes a description of composer's life and his way of composing, the list of his music repertoire written up until the year of 2018 and a detailed analysis of his opera Antigona. It also includes a short description of the rest of Svete's operas and the list of opera works of other Slovene opera composers up until the year 2017. Through the analysis of the opera Antigona, this master's degree thesis thoroughly deals with the myth itself and its use in literature and music. This thesis focuses both on the content analysis of the opera (analysis of the story itself and of the performers), as well as the musical analysis of the opera, which is broken down into individual scenes. As a complement, criticisms are published after the Antigona premiere, performed in a concert form on April 14 in the Slovenian philharmonics, during the 33. Slovenian Musical Days.
