Abstract:V obdobju 2018/2019 smo v jesensko-zimskem času od septembra do januarja v nasadu jagod v Zrkovcih spremljali razvoj posameznih delov jagodnjaka (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) sorte 'Clery'.

Title:Development of the strawberry plant (fragaria x ananassa duch.) during the autumn – winter period
Abstract:During the autumn-winter season of 2018/2019 – from September to January – we observed the development of the strawberry plants (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.), species 'Clery', in the strawberry plantation in Zrkovci. We were interested in the dynamics of the development of the individual parts of the plants in the period, when the climate does not allow optimal conditions for growth and the plants enter the period of winter stagnation. The measurements were performed five times. Each time we coincidentally chose 9 strawberry plants, dug them out, weighted them and measured their above and below ground parts. We followed the monthly average air temperature during our measurements and the soil temperature 15 centimetres below the ground on the day of the measurement. The results showed that the fall in temperature of the soil from 3,6 °C to 0,2 °C encouraged the root growth, while the fall in temperature of air during the measurements resulted in slower growth of the above ground parts of the plants. From September to January the plants were gaining their mass, but the growth of the above ground parts of the plants was more intense until the third term of the sampling (26. 4. 2018). Later the above ground parts entered the period of stagnation and the root growth became more intense. They reached the biggest average mass (83,4 g) in the last term of sampling in January.
