Title:Posmrtno življenje v filozofski perspektivi

Abstract:Smrt in posmrtno življenje sta vedno aktualna fenomena, posebej v filozofiji. V magistrski nalogi smo raziskali zgodovino pojmovanja posmrtnega življenja v dveh znamenitih knjigah mrtvih. Zanimalo nas je egipčansko pojmovanje smrti in umiranja, zato smo proučili ritual pokopavanja mrtvih in vse obrede, ki spadajo zraven. Zanimala nas je tudi Tibetanska knjiga mrtvih in pojmovanje smrti in posmrtnega življenja v njej. Proučili smo mnenja filozofov iz antike ter srednjega in novega veka. V tretjem poglavju magistrske naloge smo obravnavali filozofske probleme smrti, pri čemer smo ugotovili, da definicija smrti ni dovolj pojasnjena. Zanimalo nas je, kaj pomeni pojem smrti za človeka in kako se sooča z lastno smrtnostjo, ali je strah pred smrtjo racionalen in ali ima smrt sploh smisel. V četrtem poglavju smo obravnavali dušo kot pogoj za posmrtno življenje. Če namreč posmrtno življenje obstaja, potem pomeni, da mora obstajati nekaj takšnega, kot je duša. V tem poglavju smo raziskali Platonovo in Aristotelovo teorijo ter problem duše in telesa pri Descartesu. V zadnjem poglavju magistrske naloge smo predstavili dva ključna in najbolj znana navidezna dokaza posmrtnega življenja, in sicer NDE ali obsmrtne izkušnje in reinkarnacijo ali vnovično rojstvo. Pri raziskovanju posmrtnega življenja s filozofske perspektive smo spoznali, da je bila tema aktualna tako v preteklosti kot sedanjosti in da o njej lahko povemo veliko, obenem pa nič, kar bi lahko z gotovostjo znanstveno dokazali ali ovrgli. Lahko le predpostavljamo in sklepamo na podlagi mnenj različnih mislecev, se z njimi strinjamo ali ne, ali pa si ustvarimo lastno mnenje in v tem prepričanju živimo.

Title:Afterlife in a philosophical perspective
Abstract:Death and afterlife are always topical phenomena, especially in philosophy. In the master's thesis, we investigated the history of the concept of afterlife in two famous books of the dead. We were interested in the Egyptian notion of death and dying, so we studied the ritual of the burial of the dead and all the rituals that belong to that. We were also interested in the Tibetan Book of the Dead and the concept of death and afterlife in it. We studied the opinions of philosophers from antiquity, middle age and new age. In the third chapter of the master's thesis, we addressed the philosophical problems of death, and found that the definition of death is not sufficiently explained. We were interested in what constitutes the concept of death for man and how he faces his own mortality, whether fear of death is rational, and whether death has any sense at all. In chapter four, we considered the soul as a condition for afterlife. If there is afterlife, then this means that there must be something like the soul. In this chapter, we studied Plato's and Aristotle's theory and the problem of the soul and body in Descartes. In the last chapter of the master's thesis, we presented two key and best-known apparent proofs of afterlife, near-death experiences and reincarnation or rebirth. In investigating afterlife from a philosophical perspective, we realised that the topic was topical both in the past and in the present, and that we can say a great deal about it, and at the same time nothing that could be scientifically proven or refuted with certainty. We can only assume and conclude based on the opinions of various thinkers, we can agree with them or not, or create our own opinion and live in this belief.
