Abstract:	V diplomskemu delu raziskujemo primer Unabomber in povezavo s forenzično lingvistiko.cZanimalo nas je predvsem to, kako točno je potekal primer, saj se je vlekel skoraj 20 let, in kaj je bilo zaslužno za to, da so storilca končno prijeli. Na začetku so opisani cilji diplomskega dela, hipoteze in metode raziskovanja. Po uvodnem delu sledijo predstavitev primera in potek ter nekaj besed o žrtvah, ki jih je za sabo pustil Unabomber. Nato smo raziskali profiliranje. V razpravi o profiliranju so predstavljeni razvoj in smeri profiliranja. Kot o eni izmed vej profiliranja smo pisali o forenzični lingvistiki, in sicer o pojmu forenzična lingvistika, na katere smeri se deli forenzična lingvistika, na koncu pa sta dve smeri podrobneje opisani. Ti smeri sta forenzična lingvistika in forenzična sociolingvistika. Po tem se je začelo raziskovati preplet primera in forenzične lingvistike. Tukaj se je pisalo predvsem o tem, kdaj smo v primeru prvič zasledili forenzično lingvistiko in na kakšen način je forenzična lingvistika pripomogla k reševanju primera. V diplomski nalogi je opisano tudi, kako so prišli do pravega osumljenca in kdo je ta osumljenec. Podrobno je opisano življenje Teda Kaczynskega, za katerega se je kasneje izkazalo, da je Unabomber. Za konec pa je nekaj malega napisanega o življenju Teda Kaczynskega po prijetju.

Title:	Solving the unabombers case with the help of forensic linguistics
Abstract:	In my bachelor thesis we researched the Unabomber case and the link beetwen the case and forensic linguistics. What we wanted to know was what was the course of the case as it lasted for almost 20 years and what has happened so that the unsub was finally caught. In the begining we wrote about the goals of the bachelor thesis, hypothesis and the methods of research. After the introduction we wrote about the Unabomber case and about the casualties he left behind. Later we wrote about criminal profiling. We wrote about how profiling developed and what courses of criminal profiling we know. After that we started to research the course of criminal profiling known as forensic linguistics. We wrote about what forensic linguistics actually is and what courses of forensic linguistics exist. In the end we described two courses called forensic sociolinguistics and forensic psycholinguistics. At this point we wrote about the case and forensic linguistics so it was time to research the interlacement of the case and forensic linguistics. Here we mostly wrote about where we first came across forensic lingustics in the Unabomber case and in which way it helped the case. We explored how they found the right unsub and who that unsub is. We described the life of Ted Kacnyski in detail, as he was the Unabomber. In the end we wrote about the life of Ted Kaczynski after being caught and brought in.
