Abstract:Brezpilotni zrakoplovi so se začeli pojavljati na prelomu 19. in 20. stoletja.

Title:Drones
Abstract:The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) started around the year 1900. First they were mostly used in war but lately they started to be used in civilian ways also. This thesis has a goal to determine whether the drones will be used to deliver things in the future. The method used in this thesis are quantitative research of documents and comparative method to make comparisons between the traditional ways of delivering by trucks and by drones. An important topic of this thesis is to research the jurisdiction of drones and drone delivery. The laws about drones are extremely complex because flying of objects is an international issue. The delivery via drones has its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The biggest strengths of this type of delivery is in its cost efficiency, which cost analysis has repeatedly proven. Pro of drone delivery is also in its ability to reach places which are hard to reach otherwise. Its strength is also in the fact that the delivery using drones can reduce carbon emissions. But there are also cons of drone delivery. Global regulations and standards definitely need improvements. Perhaps the greatest weakness of drone delivery is public opinion. Drones can cause a bigger sound and light pollution and the general public is very sensitive to those topics. Public opinion can be detrimental in deciding whether drones will actually deliver goods to people's doors in the future.
