Abstract:	V diplomskem delu predstavljamo vplive Brexita na bančni sektor. V prvem delu predstavimo zgodovino Evropske Unije in temeljne pogodbe, ki so bile ključne za njen nastanek. Skozi zgodovino se je pojavilo več sprememb temeljnih pogodb. Lizbonska pogodba je bila tista, ki je z vključitvijo 50. člena v Pogodbo o Evropski uniji ustvarila pravno podlago za izstop države članice iz Evropske unije. Gre za ključen člen na katerega se sklicuje tudi Velika Britanija pri izstopu iz Evropske unije. Predstavili bomo tudi organe in institucije, ki nastopajo v Evropski uniji. V drugem delu diplomskega projekta se bomo osredotočili na možnost izstopa iz Evropske unije. Najbolj je aktualen seveda izstop Velike Britanije – Brexit. Analizirali bomo rezultate referenduma o Brexitu leta 2016. Predstavili bomo tudi bančni sektor v Veliki Britaniji in pregledali njegovo prepletanje z banko Evropske unije. Na koncu bomo analizirali vplive Brexita na delovanje monetarne politike, tako v Veliki Britaniji, kot v Evropski uniji.

Title:	Legal and financial consequences in the bank sector due to brexit
Abstract:	My diploma thesis talks about the influences that Brexit has on a bank sector. In the first part, there is the history of the European Union represented and its basic contracts which were essential for the European Union to be founded. Throughout the history, there have been many changes in the basic contracts. For example, it was the Treaty of Lisbon which included Article 50 in the Treaty of the European Union and in this way, it created a legal basis for a country seeking to leave the Union. This is the key article upon which Great Britain refers to when leaving the European Union. Moreover, my thesis will also present the institutions and bodies which function in the European Union. The second part focuses on the possibility of leaving the Union. The most current, of course, is Brexit which referendum took place in 2016. The results are analysed in my thesis. Then, my thesis also talks about the bank sector in Great Britain and it discusses how it intertwines with the bank of the European Union. Finally, there is the analysis of how Brexit influences monetary policy in Great Britain and in the European Union, as well.
