Abstract:Ker je management prepričevanja relativno slabo raziskan v slovenskem prostoru, in ker so managerji dnevno izpostavljeni prepričevanju podrejenih, nas je v pričujočem delu zanimalo predvsem to, kako se managerji slovenskih socialnih organizacij soočajo s prepričevanjem svojih podrejenih. Namen pričujočega dela je bil torej preučiti management prepričevanja na primeru slovenskih socialnih organizacij, ter ugotoviti, katere tehnike in metode managerji slovenskih socialnih organizacij uporabljajo pri prepričevanju svojih podrejenih. Uporabili smo kvantitativno obliko raziskave, metodo anketiranja. The art of persuasive communication in the workplace.

Title:Persuasive management in the case of social organisations in Slovenia
Abstract:Since the persuasive management is relatively poorly researched in the Slovenian area, and because managers are exposed to persuasion of their subordinates on daily basis, we were interested in how managers of Slovenian social organizations deal with the persuasion of their subordinates. The purpose of this work was therefore to examine the management of persuasion in the case of Slovenian social organizations, and to determine what techniques and methods managers of Slovenian social organizations use in persuading their subordinates. We used the quantitative form of research, the survey method. It is an online survey form, which was sent to the respondents via e-mail. The questionnaire in this study has already been used in the American survey The art of persuasive communication in the workplace. The online survey was completed by 123 managers of Slovenian social organizations, like elderly homes, social work centers, charity organizations, crisis centers for young people and children, and security work centers. The obtained data were statistically analyzed by using the binomial test. In the research we found that managers mostly use personal approaches in persuasion, such as personal 1 on 1 conversation, that in case of disagreement with their proposal, the problem is solved with 1 on 1 conversation, and that when presenting their proposal to the group, managers mostly use facts and knowledge. Authority represents a low or almost zero level in the case of Slovenian managers. We found that Slovenian managers prefer to use personal and direct persuasion methods, which are generally more successful than non-personal and indirect methods, and that instead of authority, they prefer to use facts that play an important role in successful persuasion.
