Abstract:Namen diplomskega dela je bil ugotoviti, kako vplivajo različni načini hladne stratifikacije na kalitev tepk (Pyrus communis L.). Primerjali smo štiri različne načine hladne stratifikacije. Sveže nabrano seme smo hladno stratificirali v hladilniku z različnim časovnim obdobjem (60 in 90 dni), posušeno seme smo stratificirali v zmrzovalniku in sveže nabrano seme smo takoj posejali na prosto. Ugotovili smo, da ima način stratifikacije velik vpliv na kaljivost semen tepk. Semena, ki smo sejali na prosto so značilno bolje kalila v primerjavi z ostalimi obravnavanji. Pri setvi na prosto je vzkalilo 90 % posejanih semen, po 60 dnevni hladni stratifikaciji je vzkalilo 76 % posejanih semen, po 90 dnevni hladni stratifikaciji je vzkalilo 66 % in le 6 % posejanih semen je vzkalilo, če smo jih pred setvijo posušili in stratificirali v zmrzovalniku.

Title:The effects of Seed Pre-treatments on the Germination of Tepka (Pyrus communis l.)
Abstract:The intention of the study was to find out how different methods of stratification influence the germination of Tepka (Pyrus communis L.). Four different cold stratifications were compared. Freshly harvested seeds were cold stratified in the refrigerator at different times (60 within 90 days), dried seeds were stratified in the freezer, and freshly harvested seeds were immediately set free. We have found that the stratification method has a great influence on the germination of bud seeds. The seeds sowed outdoors, germinated significantly better than the ones which underwent the other treatments. Outside sowing resulted in a germination of 90% of sown seed, after 60 days of cold stratification 76% of sown seed germinated, after 90 days of cold stratification 66% of seeds germinated and only 6% of the sown seeds germinated, provided they were pre-sown, dried and stratified in a freezer.
