Title:Šestdeseta leta 19. stoletja in narodno gibanje v Prlekiji : magistrsko delo

Abstract:Uvodna poglavja magistrske naloge so posvečena stanju raziskav in taborskemu gibanju na Slovenskem med leti 1868 in 1871. V teh poglavjih so podane informacije o evropskih vzorih in organizaciji ter kronološki pregled in skupne značilnosti slovenskih taborov, ki nam kot zgodovinski okvir omogočajo boljše razumevanje glavnine magistrske naloge, to je narodnega gibanja v Prlekiji v 60. letih 19. stoletja. Ta poglavja izpostavljajo dogodke, ki so predstavljali ključne prelomnice narodnega gibanja na prleških tleh ter jih postavljajo v širši politični kontekst. Ohranjena korespondenca najvidnejših predstavnikov takratnega slovenskega intelektualnega življenja predstavlja osnovo za spoznavanje okoliščin, ki so pripeljale do taborov na Slovenskem. Za tematiko taborskega gibanja in taborov na območju Prlekije je bistvenega pomena ohranjeno (in skrbno popisano) arhivsko gradivo iz zapuščine Henrika Etbina Coste, ki ga hrani rokopisni oddelek Narodne in univerzitetne knjižnice v Ljubljani, del pa tudi Arhiv Republike Slovenije. Prav to gradivo predstavlja temelj za nadaljnje raziskovanje takratnega političnega in kulturnega dogajanja. Glavni viri, ki so bili uporabljeni pri pisanju magistrske naloge, so ohranjeno arhivsko gradivo o Valentinu Zarniku v Zgodovinskem arhivu v Ljubljani, Franu Levstiku in Josipu Vošnjaku v Arhivu Republike Slovenije ter Etbinom Henrikom Costo, kjer se del njegovega arhivskega gradiva prav tako nahaja v Arhivu Republike Slovenije, del pa v rokopisnem oddelku Narodne in univerzitetne knjižnice v Ljubljani. Poleg ohranjene korespondence so pri raziskovanju pomagala pričevanja Josipa Vošnjaka v obliki njegovih zapisanih Spominov in številne strokovne publikacije.

Title:The 1860s and the National Movement in the Prlekija Region
Abstract:The introductory chapters of the master’s thesis examine the state of research and the tabor movement in Slovenia between 1868 and 1871. These chapters provide information on European models and organisations, as well as a chronological overview and common features of the Slovenian tabors, which, viewed in historical context, provide a better understanding of the major part of the thesis, namely the national movement in the Prlekija region in the 1860s. The chapters highlight events representing crucial turning points of the national movement in the Prlekija region and put them in a wider political context. The preserved correspondence between the highest-ranking representatives of the then Slovenian intellectual life acts as a basis for identifying the circumstances that led to the formation of tabors in Slovenia. Essential for the tabor movement and tabors in the Prlekija region are the preserved (and extensive) archival materials from the heritage collections of Etbin Henrik Costa, held by the Manuscript, Rare and Old Prints Collection at the National and University Library in Ljubljana, and part of which is also held by the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia. It is these archival materials that form the basis for further research of the political and cultural developments of the time. The main sources used for writing the master's thesis are the preserved archival material about Valentin Zarnik in Historical Archives in Ljubljana, Fran Levstik and Josip Vošnjak in the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, and Etbin Henrik Costa, where part of his archival material is also kept in Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, and part of the material is kept in the manuscript section of the National and University Library in Ljubljana. In addition to the preserved correspondence, Josip Vošnjak's testimonies in the form of his written memoirs and numerous professional publications also helped in the research.
