Abstract:V zaključnem delu obravnavamo vlogo trilogije Gospodar prstanov na Novo Zelandijo.

Title:Film tourism: : the case of the Lord of the rings trilogy and New Zealand
Abstract:In our thesis we discussed the role of the Lord of the Rings trilogy on New Zealand. We introduced film tourism as one of the recent important tourism subtypes and we described its importance and history. We wanted to research how good destination placement within a film can affect its recognition. Using research methods analysis, description and synthesis, we found that the Lord of the Rings trilogy has transformed the entire country in a way that it has made tourism the second largest industry. Through a detailed analysis, we reviewed and described the scenes where New Zealand is portayed within the films. We found that many of the scenes were dismantled after the filming, because the producer wanted to leave nature in the same way they found it. Through an analysis of arrivals, we have found out that the number of tourists has increased and that people still nowadays visit New Zealand because of this trilogy. At the end of our thesis we added suggestions of our own tourism products and upgraded the existing ones in the field of Lord of the Rings for the possibility of marketing those in the future.
