| Abstract: | At every adjustment of minimum wage, social discussions are instigates discussions about the justification of its height and its existence. The economic aspect of the treatment of the minimum wage is considered to be one of the central ones, and its substantive antagonism regarding the subject of the discussion can be traced back to the school of economics, to which the person who argues the position is considered. The main economic areas of debate, with a positive, negative or even impact at all, are employment rates, the existence of legal entities and the impact on local or global commodity prices. In addition to the aforementioned aspect, the moral aspect is extremely important one. It focuses on the issue of society's attitudes towards poverty, which, as the argument for the minimum wage argues, prevents minimum wage as a form of social security. However, both aspects, which are considered central to the debate on the minimum wage, cannot be treated in same way in terms of importance, because the moral aspect is the primacy of argumentation. Thus, in the master's thesis, we address both these aspects, including the general legal definition of the minimum wage institute. In defining the aspects, apart from the theoretical statements of the areas that are affected by the minimum wage, the substantive arguments of the supporters and opponents of the minimum wage institute, regarding the existence and amount of the minimum wage, are put forward. In addition to the theoretical definition of aspects, the research section analyses the data received from respondents regarding the minimum wage. The goals of the research, include meeting the basic and desired needs of the respondents, their knowledge of the minimum wage institute and, above all, their perspective on the existence and amount of the minimum wage. |
