Title:Razvoj koncepta prepoznavanja različnih vrst dreves pri osnovnošolcih skozi razvoj modela gozdne učne poti

Abstract:V magistrskem delu je bil glavni namen ugotoviti, kako dobro osnovnošolci poznajo različne vrste dreves in na podlagi ugotovitev sestaviti model gozdne učne poti po mestnem parku v Mariboru. Naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega, empiričnega in praktičnega dela. Teoretični del je razdeljen na štiri sklope. V didaktičnem sklopu so predstavljeni splošni cilji in vsebine predmeta naravoslovje in tehnika ter naravoslovje. V psihološkem sklopu je podrobneje opredeljen razvoj otroka v srednjem otroštvu. Naravoslovni sklop opredeljuje glavno tematiko magistrske naloge, drevesa. V zadnjem sklopu sta predstavljena mesto Maribor in Osnovna šola Bojana Ilicha, Maribor. V empiričnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati in analiza raziskave, v kateri so sodelovali učenci četrtega in šestega razreda Osnovne šole Bojana Ilicha, Maribor. Z raziskavo je ugotovljeno, kako dobro otroci prepoznavajo in ločujejo različne vrste dreves in kako poznajo bližnji šolski okoliš. Rezultati kažejo, da znanje učencev ni preveč dobro. Imeli so težave s skiciranjem listov dreves, prav tako z ugotavljanjem, kateri plod pripada določenemu drevesu. Več znanja so pokazali pri naštevanju čim več drevesnih vrst. Šolski okoliš so dobro poznali, saj so v veliki večini napisali, da je v bližini šole park, v katerem je veliko različnih drevesnih vrst. Na podlagi slabših rezultatov o znanju anketiranih učencev o drevesih v empiričnem delu je v praktičnem predstavljen model gozdne učne poti, ki ga učitelji lahko pripravijo za učence. Ti bodo na koncu znali bolje prepoznavati in ločevati različne drevesne vrste.

Title:The concept development of recognizing a variety of tree species in primary school students through developing a forest leatning path model
Abstract:The main purpose of this thesis was to find out to what extent elementary students are familiar with different types of trees and later on use these findings to set up a forest learning path model in a city park in Maribor. The thesis consists of the theoretical, empirical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four sections. The didactic section introduces the general goals and contents of two school subjects - Science and Science and Technology. The psychological section further determines a child’s development in middle childhood. The science section deals with the main topic of the thesis - trees. Finally, the last section presents the city of Maribor and the Bojan Ilich Elementary School in Maribor. The results and the analysis of a study carried out in the fourth and sixth grades of Bojan Ilich Elementary School in Maribor are presented in the empirical part. The findings show how well pupils recognize and distinguish between different types of trees and how well they know the school’s surroundings. The results show that the pupils' knowledge on that topic is not too good. They had trouble sketching the leaves of different trees as well as figuring out which fruit belonged to a particular tree. They did better when asked to enumerate as many tree species as possible. They knew the school’s surroundings, because the majority of them wrote that there was a park close to the school with many different tree species. Based on poor performance of the students' interviewed about their knowledge of trees in the empirical part, the practical part presents a model of a forest path that teachers can prepare for their students to help them identify and distinguish between different tree species better.
