Abstract:	Izhodišča in namen: Demenca postaja vse bolj razširjena bolezen in predstavlja zdravstveni in socialni izziv. Z napredkom so se vedno bolj začele uveljavljati nefarmakološke oblike pomoči osebam z demenco. Takšne oblike osebam lajšajo simptome demence ter jih pomirjajo. Eden takšnih pristopov je terapevtska uporaba lutk. Z raziskavo smo želeli ugotoviti, kakšne so izkušnje članov tima zdravstvene nege in oskrbe z uporabo lutke pri osebah z demenco. Raziskovalne metode: Uporabili smo kvantitativno metodologijo raziskovanja z eksperimentalnim dizajnom. Kot metodo zbiranja podatkov smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik, sestavljen iz dveh sklopov. Za analizo podatkov smo uporabili metodo deskriptivne statistike ter metodo tematske analize besedila. Rezultati: Udeleženci v raziskavi so izrazili pozitivne izkušnje z uporabo lutke pri stanovalcih z demenco. Izkušnje negovalnega osebja so pokazale, da so osebe z demenco, ki so uporabljale lutke, bolj umirjene, aktivno so sodelovale pri dnevnih aktivnostih, bile so bolj pogovorljive in družabne. Podatki kažejo, da je bilo zaznanih manj konfliktov. Izkušnje udeležencev v raziskavi kažejo, da so osebe z demenco, ki uporabljajo lutko v terapevtske namene, bolj vodljive. Manj je bilo zaznanega tavanja. Diskusija in zaključek: Člani tima zdravstvene nege in oskrbe so bili nad terapijo z lutko navdušeni in bodo z njeno uporabo še nadaljevali. Pomembno je, da si osebe z demenco lutko izberejo same in jih ne silimo v uporabo. Kadar je pristop k uporabi lutke pravilno predstavljen in izveden, je več možnosti za pozitivne rezultate.

Title:	The nursing staff experiences with the use of doll in dementia residents
Abstract:	Introduction: Dementia is becoming a common disease and presents a health and social challenge. Non-pharmacological forms of assistance to people with dementia have increasingly begun to win recognition with progress. Such forms relieve the symptoms of dementia and calm people. One of such approaches is the therapeutic use of dolls. The purpose of this research is to determine the experience of the health care team members with the use of a doll on people with dementia. Methodology: A quantitative experimental method was used for this research. A questionnaire consisting of two sets was used as a method of data collection. A descriptive statistic method and a thematic text analysis method was used for data analysis. Results: Participants in the survey reported positive experience with the use of a doll on residents with dementia. The experience of the health care staff showed that people with dementia who used dolls are more relaxed, they actively participated in daily activities, they were more talkative and sociable. The data show that fewer conflicts were detected. The experience of the study participants show that people living with dementia who use dolls for therapeutic purposes are more compliant. Less wandering was detected. Conclusion: The members of the health care team were thrilled with the doll therapy and will continue to use it. It is important that people living with dementia choose the doll themselves and they are not forced to use it. When the approach to using a doll is properly presented and implemented, there is a higher chance of positive results.
