Abstract:V magistrskem delu smo raziskali vprašanje rabe socialnih zvrsti jezika pri dijakih dvojezične srednje šole z učnima jezikoma slovenščino in madžarščino. V teoretičnem delu sta predstavljeni evropska in slovenska jezikovna zakonodaja, nato jezikovni položaj narodnostnih skupnosti in še bolj specifično – madžarske narodnostne skupnosti. Ugotavljali smo, katere socialne zvrsti dijaki uporabljajo v različnih okoliščinah, tj. v šoli, doma, v pogovoru z vrstniki ipd., kako dobro obvladajo svoj krajevni govor in kakšen odnos imajo do njega. Na koncu smo primerjali, kakšne so razlike v rabi jezika leta 2010 in sedaj. Zaključili smo, da je izbira jezikovnih zvrsti res odvisna predvsem od okoliščin, v katerih poteka komunikacija.

Title:Social diverseness of types of languages in bilingual high school education (with slovene and hungarian)
Abstract:In this master´s thesis, we researched the use of social varieties of languages among students of a bilingual high school within Slovene and Hungarian, the languages the students are learning. In the theoretical part, the European and the Slovene linguistic legislation are presented, then we are dealing with the linguistic position of ethnic communities whereas specifically the position of the Hungarian ethnic community. Next, we present an overview of the school legislation and the characteristics of the schooling model in Prekmurje together with the corresponding description of the linguistic characteristics of the above-mentioned area. The empirical part presents the research about the use of the social varieties of the Slovene and Hungarian language among 1st to 4th-year students in the Gymnasium and Mechanical engineering school programmes which are attending a bilingual high school with the learning languages being Slovene and Hungarian. We were determined to find out which social varieties students are using in different circumstances, for example in school, at home, while talking to their peers etc., how well they are proficient in their speech variants and what is their attitude towards it. In the end, we were comparing the differences between the use of language in the year 2010 and now. We came to the conclusion that the choice regarding linguistic varieties wholly depends on the circumstances in which communication takes place.
