Title:The impact of organizational culture on internal communication, stress and employee satisfaction in the mother and daughter multinational organization.
Abstract:Organizations operating at the multinational level expand their operations into foreign subsidiary organizations for strategic reasons, entering different national environments. In this process, multinational organizations often introduce their original, unadapted corporate culture into foreign subsidiary organizations, regardless of the influences of the host country's national culture on the transferred corporate culture. Consequently, this occurs without regard to the negative effects on internal communication, employee stress, and increased job dissatisfaction due to non-adaptation. When the values of the transferred corporate culture in a foreign subsidiary organization begin to differ from the values of its employees, it can affect employees at various levels within the organization. This influence can be observed at the level of internal communication, stress, and job satisfaction. The purpose of this doctoral dissertation was to create an original and comprehensive managerial model for the transfer of the original corporate culture into foreign subsidiary organizations operating in foreign national environments. This was achieved through effective internal communication, stress management, and techniques for improving employee job satisfaction. Since one of the significant goals of the doctoral dissertation was to assess the consequences or impacts of improper transfer of the original corporate culture into organizations in foreign national environments, the empirical part of the research examined the influence of corporate culture on internal communication, stress, and employee satisfaction during the transfer of corporate culture in both the original parent and foreign subsidiary organizations. To better understand the success of transferring corporate culture into foreign national environments, we also explored differences between these organizations in dimensions of corporate culture, internal communication, stress, and job satisfaction.
