Title:German Studies as a Language and Culture Bridge in Southeastern Europe : today, yesterday and tomorrow
Abstract:The volume includes abstracts of both established and future researchers from Southeast Europe and other regions who attended the 12th International Conference in November 2019, in Maribor. The conference was organized under the patronage of the Association of Germanists of South-eastern Europe and DAAD. Research focused on the conference’s primary theme "German studies as a linguistic cultural bridge in Southeast Europe". Employing linguistic, literary-linguistic, and translatological approaches, as well as foreign languages didactics, the researchers considered the bridge as both an architectural object and a symbolic construct that connects, but can also separate, consciously and subconsciously initiating isolation.
