Abstract:	Diplomsko delo predstavlja kontejnerska terminala Maribor Tezno in Celje, ki se soočata s težavami na področju stroškov, infrastrukture, kapacitete, manipulacij, dokumentov, izvajalcev dela in vzdrževanja terminala. V prvem delu so podane teoretične osnove o terminalih s poudarkom na kontejnerskih terminalih. V osrednjem delu je s pomočjo izbrane literature in znanja, pridobljenega v času praktičnega usposabljanja, predstavljena ter opisana analiza obstoječega stanja železniških kontejnerskih terminalov Maribor Tezno in Celje. Sledi kritična analiza s primerjavo omenjenih kontejnerskih terminalov. Cilj diplomskega dela je podati predlog izboljšave obeh železniških kontejnerskih terminalov in predstaviti možnost njune združitve. Končni rezultat pokaže, da združitev obravnavanih kontejnerskih terminalov ni edina rešitev, vendar je najbolj optimalna.

Title:	Merging of the railway container terminals Maribor Tezno and Celje
Abstract:	The diploma paper presents container terminals Maribor Tezno and Celje, which are faceing difficulties in terms of expenses, infrastructure, capacity, manipulation, documentation, contractors and maintenance of terminals. Initially, the paper provides a theory of railway terminals with the main emphasis on the container terminals. By means of specialised literature on the topic and experiences gained during the time of practical training, the analysis of the existing state of the railway container terminals Maribor Tezno and Celje will be conducted and presented. Followed by a critical analysis by the aforementioned container terminals. The aim of the diploma paper is to propose improvements with regard to both railway container terminals, and furthermore, to introduce prospects of merging terminals. The result shows that merging the railway container terminals is not the only solution, but it is the most optimal one.
