Abstract:	Namen prispevka: Namen prispevka je narediti pregled literature s področja nasilja odraslih otrok nad starši, ki se v objavah prepleta z nasiljem nad starejšimi, ugotoviti, ali je mogoče govoriti o dveh različnih vrstah nasilja med družinskimi člani (tj. nasilju (mladoletnih) otrok nad starši in nasilju nad starejšimi), in razpravljati o značilnostih ter vsebinskih vrzelih na področju nasilja odraslih otrok nad starši. Metode: V prispevku so predstavljene ugotovitve sistematičnega pregleda literature. Pregledane so bile naslednje baze podatkov: COBIB, Web of Science, Sage, SpringerLink, Taylor and Francis online, Routledge in Proquest Central. Baza COBIB je bila pregledana z metodo PRISMA. Ugotovitve: Področje nasilja odraslih otrok nad starši je eno izmed najmanj raziskanih področij nasilja med družinskimi člani. Ugotovitve omenjene tematike so zasenčene predvsem z objavami s področja nasilja nad starejšimi. Nasilje odraslih otrok nad starši je raziskano predvsem s kriminološkega in psihološkega vidika, nekaj pa je tudi objav, ki obravnavajo vprašanje družbenih stališč o nasilju odraslih otrok nad starši skozi opredeljevanje intenzivnosti nasilja (hujša, srednja, lažja). Manj pogoste so predvsem raziskave, ki bi obravnavale družbene stereotipe in kriminalistične vidike tovrstne problematike. Omejitve/uporabnost raziskave Ugotovitve prispevka dajejo izhodišča za razpravo o oblikovanju programov preprečevanja in interveniranja v primerih nasilja odraslih otrok nad starši. Izvirnost/pomembnost prispevka: To je prvi slovenski prispevek, ki povezuje nasilje nad starejšimi z nasiljem odraslih otrok nad starši. Prispevek je izhodišče za empirično študijo, ki bo obravnavala zgolj nasilje odraslih otrok nad starši v Sloveniji.

Title:	A Literature Review on Violence Toward Parents by Adult Children and Violence Against the Elderly
Abstract:	Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to review the literature in the field of violence of adult children against parents. The topic is often overlapped with literature on violence against the elderly. The main aim of the paper is to determine whether it is possible to talk about two different types of domestic violence (i.e. elder abuse, violence toward parents by adolescent children), and to discuss the gaps in contents on violence against parents by adult children. Design/Methods/Approach: The paper presents the findings based on a systematic literature review. The following databases are included in the review: Cobib, Web of Science, Sage, SpringerLink, Taylor and Francis Online, Routledge, and Proquest Central. Database Cobib is reviewed by PRISMA method. Findings: The issue of violence toward parents by adult children is one of the least researched areas of domestic violence. The findings on this topic are overshadowed mainly by publications in the field of violence against the elderly. Violence toward parents by adult children has been researched primarily from a criminological and psychological point of view. There are also some publications addressing this issue from social perspective, mainly through the intensity of the violence (severe, moderate, minor). The research that would address social stereotypes and the criminal investigation aspect of this kind of problems is lacking. Research Limitations / Implications: The findings of the paper provide a steppingstone for the discussion on the formation of prevention and intervention programs in the cases of violence toward parents by adult children. Originality/Value: This is the first Slovenian paper which links elder abuse and violence toward parents by adult children. The contribution is a starting point for an empirical study which will address only violence toward parents by adult children in Slovenia.
