Abstract:Magistrsko delo v sodelovanju s podjetjem TNG Oprema, d. o. o., obravnava razvoj in oblikovanje fitnes naprave za moč, natančneje napravo za vadbo in krepljenje nožnih mišic.

Title:Product design of strength fitness equipment - leg press
Abstract:The master’s thesis deals with the development and design of a piece of fitness equipment for the training and strengthening of leg muscles and was created in collaboration with TNG Oprema d.o.o. The purpose of the fitness machine is to enable the user to correctly and safely perform a leg press. In the thesis, the ergonomic requirements and solutions based on anthropometric findings are presented. These were used to design a functional fitness machine that can be adjusted to fit the user and enables them to completely isolate their leg muscles in order to achieve the best results. All the findings were then applied to the design process, which follows the Standford 'Design Thinking' methodology and presents each step in the design process in detail from user research to testing a functional prototype. The final product presented at the end of the thesis is the result of taking into consideration the wishes of the company's clients, examining the existing market, solving challenges in an innovative and creative way, as well as carefully and critically testing the final functional prototype.
