Abstract:	Namen prispevka: Posebni oddelek obravnava vsa kazniva dejanja, ki so jih osumljeni policisti v Republiki Sloveniji. Namen in cilj tega prispevka je ugotoviti, kako zavzeto policisti opravljajo policijsko delo v času, ko so v postopku in v času po končanem postopku na posebnem oddelku. Metode: Uporabili smo neeksperimentalno raziskovanje, metoda dela je bila terenska študija, raziskovalna tehnika pa vprašalnik. Zbrane podatke smo nato v programu SPSS obdelali s pomočjo opisne statistike, faktorske analize, diskriminantne analize in Pearsonovega korelacijskega koeficienta. Ugotovitve: Ugotovili smo, da policisti rahlo podpovprečno zavzeto opravljajo naloge v času postopka na posebnem oddelku in po njem. Te zavzetosti policistov pri opravljanju nalog nismo mogli primerjati s splošno zavzetostjo policistov pri opravljanju nalog, ker takih raziskav v Republiki Sloveniji še ni bilo. Omejitve/uporabnost raziskave Prispevek je omejen na območje Republike Slovenije, kjer velja posebna urejenost pregona kaznivih dejanj policistov in kjer je bila opravljena raziskava. Raziskava je uporabna za izhodišče nadaljnjega raziskovanja tega področja. Praktična uporabnost: Prispevek je praktično uporaben za policijski menedžment, saj se je zaradi manjše zavzetosti za delo policistov v času postopka na posebnem oddelku treba odzvati z določenimi ukrepi. Izvirnost/pomembnost prispevka: Prispevek je prvi, ki obravnava zavzetost policistov med postopkom na posebnem oddelku. Zaradi aktualnih pogovorov o urejenosti pregona kaznivih dejanj policistov je pomembnost prispevka v tem, da pojasnjuje posledice, ki nastanejo ob obravnavi policistov na posebnem oddelku.

Title:	Prosecution of criminal offences committed by police officers and their work engagement during/after the prosecution procedure
Abstract:	Purpose: In the Republic of Slovenia, there exists a special section in the specialized public prosecutor‘s office that handles all criminal offenses that police officers are suspected of. The purpose and objective of this paper is to determine the level of commitment of police officers to their regular police work during/after the procedure. Design/Methods/Approach: We have used a non-experimental research method, a field study including a questionnaire. The collected data was then analyzed by way of the SPSS program, using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, discriminant analysis, and Pearson‘s correlation coefficient. Findings: The level of police officers‘ enthusiasm about performing their regular tasks during and after their involvement in said procedures is slightly below the average. However, we were unable to compare the studied level of these police officers‘ enthusiasm with a general level of enthusiasm because this research has not yet been done in the Republic of Slovenia. Research Limitations / Implications: Though the findings are limited to the territory of the Republic of Slovenia due to specific law enforcement solutions regarding prosecution of these criminal acts, they are a useful starting point for further research in this area. Practical Implications: This article is useful for police management practice; lower commitment to work in police officers involved in said procedures calls for an adequate response. Originality/Value: This article is the first one dealing with commitment of police officers during the procedure carried out by the special section of the specialized public prosecutor‘s office. Among current discussions on the regulation of prosecution of criminal offenses committed by police officers, this article explains the consequences of these procedures.
