Abstract:
V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali programski jezik Kotlin in opisali njegove osnovne koncepte in posebnosti. V raziskavi smo se osredotočili na mobilne aplikacije za operacijski sistem Android. V namen raziskave smo implementirali dve enaki aplikaciji s pomočjo jezikov Kotlin in Java. V namen primerjave smo izvedli testiranje obeh aplikacij. Po postopku testiranja aplikacij smo izvedli primerjalno analizo uspešnosti aplikacij in primerjalno analizo značilnosti Kotlina in Jave. Na koncu diplomskega dela smo predstavili rezultate analize in povzeli prednosti ter slabosti Kotlina.

Title:
Native Android mobile applications development with the Kotlin programming language
Abstract:
In this diploma thesis we reported a detailed research on programming language Kotlin with emphasis on its basics and advantages. In this research we focused on the mobile applications for the Android operating system. We have implemented two the same mobile applications in both programming languages: Kotlin and Java. For successful comparison, we have made testing on both applications. After tests we have analysed effectiveness of the applications and features of both programming languages. At the final part of this thesis we have presented the results and discuss advantages and disadvantages as a result of developing mobile application with Kotlin programming language.
