V diplomskem delu smo primerjalno proučili vpliv različnih načinov rabe (2-kosna; 4-kosna) tekom več let (1998, 2002 in 2019) na botanično sestavo travne ruše. Botanično pestrost travne ruše smo ovrednotili z različnimi indeksi (H – Shannonov indeks; D – Simpsonov indeks; D1 – Simpsonov indeks pestrosti; D2 – Simpsonova dominanca; pmax – Berger-Parkerjeva dominanca; E – enakomernost; Sim – indeks podobnosti). Floristični popisi so bili v eksperimentalnih letih (1998, 2002, 2019) opravljeni v mesecu maju.

Title:Criteria for evaluating grassland diversity
Abstract:Since 1995, an experiment on a permanent meadow of semi-natural grassland at the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences was conducted. The different intensity influence of sward uses (2-cuts per year; 4-cuts per year) were comparatively studied over several years (1998, 2002, and 2019) on the botanical composition of grassland. The floral diversity of sward was evaluated with different indices (H - Shannon index; D - Simpson index; D1 - Simpson diversity index; D2 - Simpson dominance; pmax - Berger-Parker dominance; E - evenness; Sim - similarity index). Examining the floristic composition in the experimental years (1998, 2002, 2019) was conducted in May. Based on the results, we found out that the frequency of cutting regimes significantly affects the proportion of grasses and legumes in the sward while it has not changed the ratio of herbs. A treatment with 2-cuts per year is characterized by a more significant percentage of grassland legumes and a lower proportion of grasses, while treatment with 4-cuts per year results in the precise opposite. The total number of plant species differs statistically significantly from year to year, while the frequency of cutting regimes does not affect the total number of plant species. When evaluating the diversity of plant species with different indices, the values of all studied indices showed that less intensive grassland use (2-cuts per year) is characterized by significantly higher species or botanical diversity than the more intensive ones (4-cuts per year).
