Elizabete v Ljubnem ob Savinji in župnijska cerkev v Slovenj Gradcu, obe posvečeni tej svetnici.
Keywords:Bertold V. Andeški, grofje Andechs–Meranijski, sv. Elizabeta Ogrska (Turingijska), visoki srednji vek, umetnostni spomeniki.

Title:The influence of the Aquileian patriarch Bertold V. of Andechs on high medieval art in the territory of present-day Slovenia
Abstract:The master’s thesis focuses on Berthold V of Andechs, the cathedral provost, the archbishop of the Hungarian town of Kalocsa and the Patriarchate of Aquileia (1218–1251), one of the most influential patriarchs in the history of the Patriarchate of Aquileia. As a patriarch and lord of the land, his greatest interests in the Slovenian lands were the family estates in Carniola, Carinthia, and Styria. Based on the representation of family relationships in the House of Andechs and the analysis of the preserved archival materials, the thesis outlines the usefulness of these materials in dating as well as in identifying the influence and the roles of Berthold V of Andechs when examining written monuments. The central theme are the monasteries that are closely linked to Berthold V of Andechs (the Benedictine monastery in Gornji Grad; the Dominican monasteries in Ptuj, Studenice and Velesovo; the Cistercian monastery in Stična; the Carthusian monasteries in Žiče and Jurklošter; and the Poor Clare monastery in Mekinje) as well as churches (the Church of St. Pancras in the former castle above Stari trg pri Slovenj Gradcu, the Church of Elizabeth of Hungary in Slovenj Gradec and Ljubno ob Savinji, the Church of Mary’s Immaculate Conception in Šutna pri Kamniku, the Church of St. Jacob in Kostanjevica na Krki, and the former Church of the Teutonic Knights Order in Ljubljana). After the canonisation of his niece, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, in 1235, Berthold invested substantial efforts to expedite her cult in Slovenian lands as well. This is evidenced by the Church of St. Elizabeth in Ljubno ob Savinji and the parish church in Slovenj Gradec, which are both dedicated to St. Elizabeth.
Keywords:Berthold V of Andechs, counts of Andechs–Merania, St. Elizabeth of Hungary (Thungirian), High Middle Ages, artistic monuments.
