Abstract:	V diplomskem delu smo se osredotočali predvsem na ženske v zaporu, saj le-te niso pogost predmet raziskav, prej bi lahko bile označene za nevidni vzorec v populaciji. Kljub navedenemu je njihovo prestajanje kazni še kako spolno specifično zaznamovano in pomembno za vse vključene subjekte. Skozi diplomsko delo so bile preučene domača in tuja literatura ter študije na temo predvsem ženskih izkušenj prestajanja zaporne kazni. Ženske v zaporu ostajajo tabu družbe, ki ne dopušča odstopanj izven okvirov spolno zaznamovanih pričakovanj, zato se obsojenke ne le kaznuje z deprivacijo, ampak še s stigmo »zapornice«. Pozornost je bila usmerjena predvsem na stopnjo njihove prilagoditve zaporskemu sistemu, medsebojne odnose z zaporskimi delavci in s soobsojenkami ter njihovo vključevanje v zaprto zaporsko družbo, saj vsi ti dejavniki močno vplivajo na sledenje osebnemu načrtu, rehabilitacijskim programom in tretmanu. Kot tudi potrjujejo raziskave in študije, je razlik med moškimi in ženskami v zaporu veliko, te pa so še kako opazne pri prestajanju zaporne kazni, ki vsakega posameznika z deprivacijami, frustracijami in nestabilnim družbenim okoljem sili v vedenjske vzorce, ki nakazujejo njegovo zmožnost spremembe in poboljšanja. Ker je prestajanje zaporne kazni precej spolno specifično, je bila pregledna tudi literatura, ki zajema inkarceracijo moških in narejena primerjava med spoloma. Ne smemo pozabiti, da če je delikventu odvzet delikt, nam ostane človek, ki si zasluži ponovne priložnosti za vključitev v družbo in socializacijo. Zapori ne bi smeli imeti zgolj kaznovalnega, maščevalnega in okrutnega pridiha, temveč bi morali veljati za odskočno desko vseh tistih, ki si življenja sami ne znajo ali ne zmorejo urediti bolje.

Title:	Prison subculture in women prisons
Abstract:	In the bachelor’s thesis, we focused on women in prison mostly because they are not a common object of the research. They could rather be marked as an invisible sample of the population. Despite the written, their serving the sentence is very gender-specifically marked and important for all included subjects. In the bachelor’s thesis, domestic and foreign literature was studied, as well as the studies whose topic is mostly female experiences of serving the prison sentence. Women in prison remain a taboo of the society which does not allow deviation outside of the framework of gender-characterized expectations. Therefore, the convicts are not only punished by deprivation but also with the stigma of a “female convict”. Attention was paid mostly to the level of their accommodation to the prison system, interpersonal relationships with prison workers and fellow convicts, and their inclusion into a close prison society because all these factors influence significantly the following of their personal plan, rehabilitation programs, and treatment. As the research and studies confirm, there are plenty of differences between males and females in prison. They are very visible in serving the prison sentence which, by deprivations, frustrations, and unstable social environment, forces every individual to behavioral patterns that show his or her ability to change and improve. Because spending the prison sentence is pretty gender-specific, the literature which includes incarceration of males was also reviewed and the comparison between the genders was performed. We must not forget that in the case if a delict is taken away from the delinquent there is only a human left and he or she deserves another opportunity to be included in the society and to socialization. Prisons should not have only a punitive, vindictive, or cruel character. They should be the stepping stone of all those who cannot or do not know how to settle their lives better.
