Abstract:Obdobje Novega kraljestva v Starem Egiptu označuje obdobje približno med leti 1550 pr. n. št. in 1077 pr. n. št. Začetek obdobja predstavlja izgon Hiksov in začetek vladavine ene najslavnejših dinastij Starega Egipta, 18. dinastije.

Title:New kindom of Egypt
Abstract:The period of the New Kingdom in ancient Egypt marks the period approximately between 1550 BC and 1077 BC. The beginning of the period is presented by the expulsion of the Hicks and the beginning of the reign of one of the most famous dynasties of ancient Egypt, the 18th dynasty. Its reputation is justified by rulers such as queen Hatshepsut, who is famous simply for the fact that she ruled Egypt as a woman. Thutmose III. who consolidated the power of Egypt with his army, his work in consolidating the power and wealth of the country itself was continued by Amenhotep III. The eighteenth dynasty is also represented by Akhenaten, who introduced temporary monotheism, and Tutankhamun, who is famous mainly for the find of his untouched tomb. During this flourishing period, the eighteenth dynasty was followed by the nineteenth, also called the Ramesit dynasty after the rulers who more or less all took the name Ramses after the first representative. The most famous of these is Ramses II, who led Egypt to the pinnacle of its power with the famous Battle of Kadesh dated to 1274 BC. There were no more important representatives during the nineteenth dynasty and the period of the flourishing New Kingdom ended with the invasion of the "Nations of the Sea", which ravaged the coasts of Asia Minor and Syria.
