Abstract:Fenolne spojine, ki so v različnih delih rastlin, tudi v skorji, se omenjajo kot pomembni antioksidanti. V sklopu diplomskega dela smo analizirali vsebnost skupnih fenolnih spojin in topnih taninov v ekstraktih skorje pri različnih medvrstnih križancih bezga. V raziskavo smo vključili 60 medvrstnih križancev in nekaterih vrstah bezga. Za ekstrakcijo fenolnih spojin smo uporabili 50-% vodno raztopino metanola in 70-% vodno raztopino acetona. Vsebnost skupnih fenolnih spojin in topnih taninov smo določili s Folin-Ciocalteu reagentom. Rezultate smo podali v mg GAE (ekvivalent galne kisline)/ g suhe snovi (SS).

Title:Phenolic Compounds in the Bark of Interspecific Elderberry Hybrids
Abstract:Phenolic compounds found in various parts of plants, including the bark, are considered as important antioxidants. As part of the presented research, we analyzed the content of total phenolic compounds and soluble tannins in bark extracts in various interspecific hybrids of elderberry. The study included 60 interspecific hybrids and some species of elderberry. A 50% aqueous solution of methanol and a 70% aqueous solution of acetone were used to extract the phenolic compounds. The content of total phenolic compounds and soluble tannins was determined with Folin-Ciocalteu reagent. The results were expressed in mg of gallic acid equivalent (GAE) per g dry matter (DM). Elderberry bark contains an average of 18.21 mg GAE/g DM of total phenolic compounds of which 11.06 mg GAE/g DM are soluble tannins. Depending on the content of total phenols and soluble tannins, there are relatively large differences among species, as well as among different interspecific hybrids of elderberry.
