Abstract:	Ruralni turizam nije posve nov. Interes za ruralnu rekreaciju porastao je u 19. stoljeću kao odgovor na stres i nemire rastućih industrijskih gradova. Kako se ruralni turizam i dalje razvija, prepoznata je potreba za održivim oblicima razvoja kako bi se suzbila gospodarska recesija u sektorima primarne proizvodnje. Od početka 1990-ih, koncept održivog razvoja turizma postigao je gotovo univerzalno prihvaćanje kao poželjan i prikladan pristup turističkog razvoja. Stoga je potrebno razviti one oblike ruralnog turizma koji najmanje degradiraju okoliš i kulturno-povijesnu baštinu te mogu biti ekonomski prihvatljivi. Kako bi se ostvario turistički razvoj na području grada Zaprešića te okolnih općina Brdovec, Marija Gorica i Dubravica, potrebno je osmisliti integrirani turistički proizvod prilagođen ciljnoj skupini za to područje. Proučavajući literaturu te kroz 5 provedenih intervjua, dolazimo do zaključka kako je ta ciljna skupina obitelj s djecom između 7 i 10 godina koja dolazi iz urbanog područja.

Title:	Development of rural tourism on the example of the city of zaprešić
Abstract:	Rural tourism is not entirely new. Interest in rural recreation grew in the 19th century in response to the stress and unrest of growing industrial cities. As rural tourism continues to develop, the need for sustainable forms of development has been recognized in order to combat the economic recession in the primary production sectors. Since the early 1990s, the concept of sustainable tourism development has achieved almost universal acceptance as a desirable and appropriate approach to tourism development. Therefore, it is necessary to develop those forms of rural tourism that least degrade the environment and cultural and historical heritage and can be economically acceptable. In order to achieve the tourist development of the area of the city of Zaprešić and the surrounding municipalities of Brdovec, Marija Gorica and Dubravica, it is necessary to design an integrated tourist product adapted to the target group for that area. Studying the literature and through 5 conducted interviews, we come to the conclusion that this target group is a family with children between 7 and 10 years old who come from an urban area.
