Abstract:U diplomskom radu napravili smo istraživanje o seriji Peaky Blinders, točnije istražili smo područje zvano filmski turizam, te uz to smo istražili dvije pojave: destinacijski imidž i identifikaciju s likovima u seriji.

Title:Film-Induced tourism: destination image of birmingham and dudley among croatian viewers of the peaky blinders series
Abstract:In the diploma thesis, we focused on film-induced tourism in relation to Peaky Blinders series. More accurately, we discussed two phenomena: destination image and identification with characters. We have defined the field of film-induced tourism and the two aforementioned phenomena: destination image and identification with characters. Also, we presented the series, Peaky Blinders, and its features, and beside that, we defined a phenomenon of mistaken identity. Mistaken identity appears when the the storyplot represents one location yet in reality is filmed somewhere else. The results show that viewers identify themselves with the series' characters and that destination image, induced by watching the series, is highly positive amongst the viewers. However, identification with the series' characters does not affect desire for visiting the destination and does not affect the destination image on its cognitive and affective dimensions. Viewers are not aware of which destination they are perceiving by following the series, therefore we concluded that mistaken identity is present among the viewers.
