Abstract:
V diplomski nalogi predstavimo sodobne načine shranjevanja gesel. Spoznamo prednosti in slabosti posameznega načina shranjevanja in pogoste napake pri implementaciji. Predstavimo tudi najpogostejše metode napadov na gesla in spoznamo kako način sharanjevanja gesel vpliva na nivo varnosti hranjenih gesel. V praktičnem delu diplomske naloge glede na hitrost primerjamo izbrane načine shranjevanja gesel in ugotavljamo koliko časa bi trajal napad za razkritje gesla glede na različne načine shranjevanja.

Title:
Modern methods of secure storage of passwords
Abstract:
In this thesis, we introduce modern methods of secure password storage. We learn about the advantages and disadvantages of individual storage methods and common implementation errors. We present the most common methods of password attacks and learn how to protect passwords from disclosure. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, we compare the selected methods of password storing depending on speed of hashing and we estimate how long it would take to crack the passwords, depending on the storage method.
