Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo želeli raziskati povezanost redne telesne aktivnosti s psihološko odpornostjo pri vzgojiteljih in pomočnikih vzgojiteljev predšolskih otrok. S pomočjo deskriptivne metode raziskovanja smo raziskali vzorec 79 anketirancev in podatke kvantitativno obdelali.

Title:Physical activity and psychological resilience of the educator
Abstract:In my thesis we wish to get to know the connection between the regular physical activity and psycological resilience of educators and educator assistants working with preschool children. By means of descriptive research method we explored the sample of 79 respondents and quantitatively processed all data obtained. On the above mentioned basis we got important findings regarding the quantity of physical activity and quantity of psychological resilience of respondents included. We obtained the findings by means of the International psysical activity questionnaire which enables the standard categorization of physical activity i.e. low, moderate and high physically active individuals as well as by means of the Brief Resilience Scale enabling the standard categories of psychological resilience i.e. low, normal and high. On the basis of respondent classification on categories and obtained results it could be determined that physical activity and psychological resilience are moderately connected which could be supported by findings in literature. Consequently, on the basis of checking the quantity and intensity of physical activity we found out that educators and assistants in kindergartens are active in accordance with any and all valid guidelines. As regards psychological resilience it could be concluded that are no difference between educators of different age who teach children in different age gropus.
