Title:Zaznava in prepričanja staršev o uporabi mobilnega telefona pri njihovih predšolskih otrocih

Abstract:V diplomskem delu so predstavljene prednosti in slabosti uporabe mobilnega telefona pri predšolskih otrocih, starih od 2 do 5 let. Raziskovali smo, v kolikšni meri starši zaznavajo doživljanje abstinenčnega odziva na odvzem mobilnega telefona in spremembe vedenja ob uporabi mobilnega telefona pri njihovih predšolskih otrocih ter vpliv uporabe mobilnega telefona na socialni razvoj. V teoretičnem delu predstavljamo, kaj je mobilni telefon, njegove začetke ter zmogljivosti, prednosti in slabosti njegove uporabe ter smo se še posebno posvetili navezanosti na predmete in nekemični zasvojenosti. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela smo z uporabo kvantitativne metode raziskovanja ugotavljali, ali starši pri otroku, ko mu odvzamejo mobilni telefon, opažajo abstinenčno krizo, ali zaznavajo spremembe na področju govornega razvoja zaradi uporabe mobilnega telefona in njihovo prepričanje, da sta vedenje in socialni odnosi njihovih predšolskih otrok pogojena z uporabo mobilnega telefona. Na podlagi podatkov, pridobljenih z uporabo anketnega vprašalnika, ki so ga izpolnili starši otrok, starih od 2 do 5 let (n = 118), smo ugotovili, da četrtina anketirancev opaža, da se njihov otrok odzove z nemirom, ko mu odvzamejo mobilni telefon, medtem ko se večina otrok še vedno zamoti z drugim delom. Starši na področju govora zaradi vpliva uporabe mobilnega telefona ne zaznavajo bistvenih sprememb, prav tako ne zaznavajo sprememb pri razumevanju in učenju tujega jezika. Prepričani so, da uporaba mobilnega telefona ne vpliva na vedenje njihovih predšolskih otrok. Prav tako menijo, da uporaba mobilnega telefona ne vpliva na socialne odnose njihovih predšolskih otrok, saj otroci nimajo ne manj in ne več stikov z vrstniki.

Title:Parent's perceptions and beliefs about their preschool children using mobile phones
Abstract:In the thesis, the advantages and disadvantages of preschool children aged between 2 and 5 using mobile phones were presented. A research considering to what extend parents perceive experiencing abstinence response when a mobile phone is taken away from their children, their preschool children's behavioural changes when using a mobile phone, and influence of mobile phones on their social development was conducted. In the theoretical part, what a mobile phone is, its origin and performance, the advantages and disadvantages of its usage and a special focus on attachment to objects and non-chemical addiction were presented. In the empirical part of the thesis, by using qualitative method of research it was established whether parents observe abstinence crisis in their child when they take away a mobile phone from them or whether they perceive changes in the area of speech development due to the influence of a mobile phone and whether they are absolutely positive about their children’s behaviour and social relationships being caused by using a mobile phone. Based on the data collected by parents of children aged between 2 and 5 (n = 118) filling out the questionnaire the conclusion has been made that a quarter of the interviewees observe that their child responds with restlessness when they take away a mobile phone from them, while the majority of children still get distracted by doing some other activity. Parents do not sense any crucial changes in the area of speech because of the influence of a mobile phone. In addition, they do not observe any changes in foreign language comprehension and learning. They are convinced that using a mobile phone does not fundamentally affect their preschool children’s behaviour, it only affects their mood swings. They also believe that it does not influence their preschool children’s social relationships because children do not have less or more contact with children their age.
