Title:Gray economy in cosmetics industry
Abstract:In the graduation thesis we have focused on the term of grey economy, which is very complex, extensive and complicated term, that is why it is hard to define it. Grey economy occurs worldwide and probably it will be very hard to exterminate it. We closely explained problem of grey economy and illegal work in cosmetic profession. In the graduation thesis we have closely explained terms »grey economy« and »illegal work«. We have found reasons for their appearance and we checked consequences, which can be positive or negative. We also named all authorities, which are responsible for control of illegal work in Republic of Slovenia. We also have checked how frequent inspection surveillance are done in cosmetic profession. We did research with questionnaire tool which we handed to people who work in cosmetic profession. In our graduation thesis we also have defined four research questions with purpose to get a real picture of presence of grey economy in Slovenia. Mainly we were not surprised with the results, because we have found out that more than half respondents have already dealt with illegal work. We also have found out that being aware of rare inspection surveillance is not the main reason why people do illegal work. The main reason and leading answer was »additional earnings«. We were most surprised by the finding that 89% of cosmetics workers have never had experience with inspection surveillance from »Market Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia«.
