Title:Analysis of management process with pallet shipments in the selected postal transshipment logistics center
Abstract:Every company and therefore the Post of Slovenia needs logistics services to ensure a connection between the company and their customers. Post of Slovenia is interested in dispatching pallet shipments as well as other shipments to customers safely, as quickly as possible with high quality, and also in the most effective way, especially from a financial point of view. Pallets help us for easier handling of goods and transport of goods. The transport of pallet shipments was supposed to be safe and of a good quality, but this is not always the case due to the problems that arise when handling the pallet shipments. The pallet is a purpose-made wooden base on which we stack unit load (cartons, bags, boxes, etc.) with a view to standardizing the cargo unit, with which we perform transport faster, safer and more cost-effectively. They are established in all activities (production, transport, distribution, etc.) and their mass use has a strong impact on simplification and cost reduction throughout the logistics chain. The purpose of my final work is to present the management processes of pallet shipment and giving the advantages and disadvantages of these processes, and giving to possible solutions to the existing situation.
