Title:Influence of antropometric characteristics on physical fitness in male and female pupils
Abstract:The purpose of the master's thesis was to investigate the impact of physical dimensions on motor performance in students. The research sample included 504 students aged 9−11, 285 boys and 219 girls. The student's body dimensions were measured using standardized anthropometric instruments, and physical fitness with the help of the Eurofit test battery: crunches for 30 seconds, taping 25 cycles, beinding forward, sprint 10 x 5 m, Beep test, Flamingo balance and long jump from the starting position, as well as additional tests: sonorous jumps over the jump rope for 20 seconds, bouncing the ball between the cones and the polygon course backwards. Regression analysis was used to determine the association and influence of body dimensions on motor efficiency. Statistical significance was determined at the risk level of 0.05 (p < 0.05). The results of the regression analysis showed that the physical dimensions statistically significantly explained the differences in motor efficiency in 9, 10 and 11 year old boys and in 10 and 11 year old girls. It can be established that in late childhood and early adolescence, body dimensions and body composition are an important generator of differences in motor efficiency.
