Vseh pet hipotez smo potrdili. Kot merilni instrument v magistrski nalogi smo uporabili strukturirani vprašalnik. Anketiranje smo opravili na glavnih železniških postajah v Celju in Ljubljani. V vzorec smo zajeli 200 anketiranih.

Title:Implementation of a mobile application for the use of services in railway transport
Abstract:Online shopping is currently one of the world's biggest trends, thus in our master's thesis we want to connect it with the growing problem of ecological overload of the environment we live in. The implementation of a mobile application for the use of railway services and hence a greater use of the train as one of the cleanest means of transport would undoubtedly contribute to reducing air emissions, as well as reducing paper consumption due to paperless tickets. The company Slovenian Railways is aware of the importance of environmental protection, therefore their strategic plans also include more environmentally friendly offers, such as the refurbishment of existing parking spaces, which are being upgraded with electric charging parking spaces for cars, bicycle parking lots, setting up ticket machines and taking care of the satisfaction of train transport users, providing them with coffee machines, drinks and quick snacks, while waiting. As it is necessary to follow the novelties, they also introduced a website where it is possible to make an e-ticket purchase, and a mobile application which enables one to view train timetables and delays. The aim of our thesis was to examine all the data needed to set up a mobile application that would allow the purchase of a combined train ticket, which could be used to buy a train ticket and a parking ticket for a vehicle at a lower price than the existing one. All five hypotheses were confirmed. As a measuring instrument in the master's thesis, we used a structured questionnaire. The survey was conducted at the main railway stations in Celje and Ljubljana. 200 respondents were included in the sample. 77% of all respondents were familiar with the novelty that from November 2018 it is possible to buy tickets on the Slovenian Railways website. In addition, almost 70% of all respondents would decide to buy a ticket via the mobile application. Most of the respondents are already leaving their vehicles in parking lots in the immediate vicinity of the railway stations owned by Slovenian Railways. More than half of the respondents are of the opinion that currently the daily rent of a parking space is favourable. 62.5% of respondents, using the train service, would use parking lots if they were more affordable. It is interesting that 20.5% of respondents already walk or use a bicycle as a means of transport to the railway station, which confirms the claim that people are aware of the importance of protecting the environment and taking care of their health.
