| Abstract: | The aim of this master's thesis is to explore the concept of the opera house as a central place of culture, spectacle and art. The construction of this facility would contribute to the cultural development of the city, bring rich cultural and artistic programs and put Podgorica on the map of world capitals. The facility must follow the latest construction standards and innovations in materialization and fit well into the existing environment and terrain morphology. The goal is a compact and multifunctional structure that will gather a large number of visitors and become one of the modern symbols of the city, which as a new reference point completes the city core with its form and aesthetics. The new structure should respect the existing urban plan, taking into account the potential expansion of content and programs, but also to start the urban revitalization of the Moraca riverbed and its banks. |
