Abstract:Diplomirane medicinske sestre v patronažnem varstvu potrebujejo veliko veščin in znanja o preventivnem poučevanju staršev o zagotavljaju varnosti otrok. Poškodbe otrok se lahko zgodijo kjer koli in prav tisti trenutek, ko to najmanj pričakujemo. Starši morajo poznati vsaj osnove preprečevanja poškodb. V zaključnem delu smo predstavili pomen patronažnega varstva v skrbi za varnost otrok. Uporabili smo kvantitativno metodologijo raziskovanja.

Title:The importance of community care in caring for the safety of the children
Abstract:Qualified community nurses need considerable skills and knowledge about preventive parenting teaching to ensure the safety of the children. Injuries to children can happen anywhere and at the very moment we least expect it. Parents need to know at least the basics of injury prevention. In the conclusion, we present the importance of community nursing in caring for the safety of children. We used a quantitative research methodology. For the research, we used a survey questionnaire. The survey questionnaire comprised 35 closed-ended questions. A total of 193 women and 5 men with at least one child participated in the research. The results obtained were statistically processed and presented descriptively and with pie charts. We found that parents have a lot of knowledge about the safety of children in the home environment. Most of their information and knowledge was sought from websites or from family members. They received the least information from a graduated nurse in community nursing. At the time of the preventive community visit, most parents were not involved in checking the home safety in the child's home, however, the parents have appropriate preventive protection installed in the house to prevent injuries to the child. The work of the community nurse during a preventive visit is a key element in the prevention of injuries in the home environment, which helps achieve a better understanding of the possible dangers to the child. The work must be done correctly and professionally, using all available aids, such as a home safety checklist.
