V prvem delu so zato analizirane povprečne letne in poletne temperature zraka ter povprečne maksimalne letne in poletne temperature zraka v Pomurju.

Title:Analysis of heat wave trends in Pomurje in the period 1961-2018
Abstract:The work addresses heat waves in Pomurje region in the period between 1961 and 2018. Based on information from Rakičan, Jeruzalem, Lendava and Veliki Dolenci meteorological stations, we have analysed the heat wave trends in Pomurje region. Heat waves are calculated based on average and maximum air temperature of hot days in Pomurje. In the first part of our thesis, we analysed average annual and summer air temperatures, as well as average maximum annual and summer air temperatures in Pomurje. Based on that, we carried out an analysis of the number of hot days on annual, ten-year and monthly basis. In the central part of the thesis, we analysed the heat waves – more precisely the number of heat waves; the duration of heat waves, which is analysed based on the number of hot days in specific heat wave, as well as average and maximum duration of heat waves; intensity of heat waves, which is analysed based on maximum air temperatures during heat waves and cumulative of maximum temperatures during heat waves; the expansion of the heat wave time window and the weather development during heat waves. In general, the heat waves in Pomurje region are more frequent on annual and ten-year basis and the number of hot days inside a heat wave is increasing, which is why the average duration of heat waves is also increasing. From one decade to another, the maximum air temperature of heat waves and cumulative of maximum temperatures is increasing, therefore, the heat waves in this analysed area are getting more and more intense. In Pomurje region, heat waves occur in summer months, but the heat wave time window is expanding, since the heat waves occur in early summer or in late spring and always by the end of summer or in early autumn. Mostly, all the indicator trends of heat waves in Pomurje are positive, but there are some variations among different meteorological stations. Higher trends are often significant for meteorological stations that are located in the thermal zone and densely built-up and populated areas.
