Abstract:Družbena odgovornost v sodobnem času pridobiva vse večji pomen. Ugotovili smo, da sta generacijama X in Y najbolj pomembni dobri odnosi s poslovnimi partnerji, nakazilo plač zaposlenim ob predpisanem datumu, varovanje okolja in izobraževanje kadra.

Title:Generations and social responsibility
Abstract:In modern times, social responsibility is gaining more and more importance. People have the ability to become aware that life on Earth is not the space of every individual, but of all people with whom we share that space. For coexistence it is important to be aware of the negative consequences of the impact on the environment, which can be created by irresponsible behavior by both large companies and each individual. To date, we know 5 different generations, which are separated according to the period in which they were born. These generations are veterans, baby boom, X, Y and Z. Among those listed, we explored the properties i.e., the general personality characteristics by which we distinguish them. In the diploma thesis, we explored the importance of social responsibility through the eyes of generations X and Y, as the question arose about the knowledge of social responsibility between generations and their opinion about it. With the help of research, we have developed guidelines for companies to help employers improve the cooperation and understanding with employees. In the study, statistical differences were not observed despite the different time periods of birth between the two generations. We have found out that for generations X and Y the most important features are good relations with business partners, salary payments to employees on the prescribed date, environmental protection, and staff training. The biggest differences, although statistically insignificant between the generations, occur in the following statements: the company only cares about making a profit, maintaining a positive economic situation i.e., to inform subordinates about the company's performance and to avoid breaking the law to achieve business goals. With these statistically insignificant differences, members of Generation Y are more positive, compared to Generation X, which means that they are more susceptible to act towards social responsibility.
