Title:Activities for making Prekmurian language more familiar to the children in kindergartens
Abstract:In the diploma work Activities for making Prekmurian language more familiar to the children in kindergartens we have focused on the dialect of the Prekmurje region which is commonly spoken in kindergartens in Prekmurje region and also in local environment. In the theoretical part the language is introduced as one of the main areas in child's development and therefor the role of the teacher. By the child's development the main source is also vocabulary. There is also introduced the optional subject called Prekmurian language and culture in a primary school, how was it established and what do pupils learn during the school year at this subject. In the empirical part we have used the questionnaire by the teachers in kindergartens to find out, where, from the chosen kindergartens, they use the dialect of Prekmurje region the most and what are the activities to get children familiar with the Prekmurian language. In the appendix to the diploma work is an interview with Suzana Panker, the author of the programme of extracurricular activity Prekmurian language and culture in a primary school and also the teacher at one of the primary schools in Prekmurje.
