Abstract:
Industrija dogodkov je bila pa še posebej prizadeta med časom epidemije Covid-19. V nekaterih primerih so organizacije bile primorane celotno poslovanje ali del poslovanja prilagoditi in prenesti v virtualni svet, kar za zaposlene in udeležence predstavljalo nov izziv. Eden izmed izzivov letošnjega leta je bila tudi organizacija konference z imenom International Simulation Conference, ki je prvič potekala v virtualnem svetu. V tej magistrski nalogi se posvečam predstavitvi in opisu izgradnje načrta za organizacijo virtualne konference, skupaj z kritično oceno izvedbe in predlogi za izboljšave.

Title:
Organization of an online event - case: Virtual International Simulation Conference 2021
Abstract:
Among everyday difficulties the Covid-19 pandemic has brought to our new reality, hosting in-person events might be the most challenging one. Companies had to adapt their approaches to reaching their audiences and with the many lockdowns, the demand for virtual events has reached skyrocket levels. This master thesis covers the process of an online event organization on an example of the International Simulation Conference 2021 from being a face-to-face event to its transformation in a virtual environment. In conclusion, the benefits of organizing such virtual events will be pointed out together with a critical comparison of both types of events, physical and virtual.
