Abstract:Upravljanje s podatki v turistični industriji predstavlja velik razkorak med uporabnikovo zasebnostjo in storitvijo. Velik pretok podatkov zagotavlja boljšo kakovost analitike storitve, obenem pa povečuje tveganje na področju varovanja podatkov. Slednje predstavlja drugo obliko varnosti, in sicer fizično varnost. Neprijetne posledice, ki jih prinese zloraba podatkov, občutijo šele v trenutku, ko pride do same zlorabe. Zaradi občutljive narave teh podatkov je potrebno veliko več pozornosti nameniti uporabi osebnih podatkov.

Title:Data management and information security inside the tourist industry
Abstract:Data management in the tourism industry introduces an enormous gap between the user's privacy and service. There is no doubt that a large flow of data ensures a better quality of analysis services, however, at the same time it also increases information security and protection risks. The latter represents yet another form of security, namely physical security. As a consequence, cybersecurity has been created as a brand new form of information data protection. The fact is that fast access to data can help us save a lot of time. The herewith diploma thesis displays the importance when it comes to the use of data with the help of information technology tools in the field of tourism in relation to the user or the guest. It has also been established that most users of smart devices are not sufficiently aware or adequately informed, especially when travelling and when data transmission takes place, about the importance of preventive measures against threats to data. The key findings have been contributed by the conducting research using survey. Thus it has been possible to fully understand what data security challenges and all the risks involved in fact mean to the average user. Moreover, it has also been shown that most users do not feel threatened when transmitting or submitting their own personal data. Unfortunately, the unpleasant and damaging after-effetcs of data abuse are felt only at the moment when the data abuse in effect takes place. Due to a very sensitive nature of this data particular attention should be paid when using personal data.
