Abstract:Kukavičevke rodu Ophrys so zaradi svoje hitre speciacije praktično nedoločjive. V nalogi smo poskušali s predstavitvijo bioloških značilnosti, preko predstavitve teoretičnih mehanizmov evolucije in osvetlitvijo neskladnosti taksonomije, orisati današnje znanje o variabilnosti tega nenavadnega rodu.

Title:The influence of environmental factors on the variability of floral morphological traits at ophrys sphegodes mill. s.str. (orchidaceae)
Abstract:Orchids, of the genus Ophrys, are practically indefinable due to their fast speciation. Because of the constant formation and extinction of transitional species, a multitude of different forms is emerging which are difficult or impossible to combine into a single taxonomy. In this master's assignment we tried to outline today's knowledge about the variability of this unusual genus by presenting biological characteristics through presentation of theoretical mechanisms of evolution and highlighting inconsistencies of taxonomy. In the practical part we tried to prove the importance of ecological influences on the morphology of flowers of species Ophrys sphegodes s. s. by selecting three very different phytogeographical locations, which are in the gradient of distance from the sea. We proved that the morphology of flowers is significantly influenced by factors of temperature and precipitation regime at the local level. These results highlight the ecological impact on flower morphology and support the claims of recent authors, who emphasize the importance of combining ecological, ethological, morphological, and genetic views to solve taxonomic problems.
