V sklopu diplomskega dela želimo kritično opisati dejansko stanje IT in faze prenosa paketnih pošiljk v času epidemije COVID-19.

Title:Impact of coronavirus on IT technology and transmission of parcels in Pošta Slovenije d.o.o.
Abstract:The bachelor’s thesis was based on the work in practical training at Post of Slovenia where we saw the business processes during our work. The main content of the bachelor’s thesis is related to the impact of COVID-19 on IT and to the transfer of parcels in Post of Slovenia d.o.o. Due to the pandemic, an increase of the accepted parcels has been detected for more than a year now. As a result, the company has been facing overloaded logistics capacity, lack of staff and delivery vans. From an economic point of view, the demand for postal service is greater than the actual capability to satisfy the postal service users. As a part of the bachelor’s thesis, we want to critically explain the actual state of IT and the stages of the transfer of parcels during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, we want to present suggestions on solutions for the problem of timely delivery of parcels during COVID-19 on the basis of the most optimal IT applications for the postal service user. As part of the practical training, we searched for the causes of logistical disturbances in the transmission stages, and in the bachelor’s thesis we want to check the satisfaction of users with various IT applications of package services as well as encourage the postal service users to use them. Perchance the recommendation stimulates a greater interest of users to use IT applications of parcel services in the future, which may relieve individual stages of parcel transmission.
