Abstract:V naši raziskovalni nalogi smo analizirali infrardeče spektre adsorbiranega piridina na kisle površine v območju 1700 in 1400 cm-1. Primerjali smo različne vzorce: bohemit z nanodelci magnetnega železovega oksida, alumina z nanodelci magnetnega železovega oksida, pripravljena v cevni peči in hranjena na zraku, alumina z nanodelci železovega oksida, pripravljena in-situ v peči IR spektrometra in komercialnega alumina.

Title:Analysis of surface acidity and hydroxylation of the magnetically separable boehmite and γ-alumina by FTIR spectroscopy
Abstract:In our research we analysed infrared spectrum in the 1400 to 1700 cm-1 region for pyridine adsorbed on acidic solids. The spectrum of pyridine coordinately bonded is different from that of the pyridinium ion, which allows us to distinguish acidic sites on the surface. By observing the relative retention of the band with temperature and shift of the bands we roughly estimated the strength of the acid sites. We compared different samples: bohemite with magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles, alumina with magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles prepared in a tube furnace and stored in air, alumina with iron oxide nanoparticles prepared in-situ in an IR spectrometer furnace and last commercial alumina. For all materials Lewis acid sites and the absence Brønsted acid sites were demonstrated. It was found that saturated surfaces with moisture and the addition of iron oxide nanoparticles do not have a significant effect on the strength of Lewis acid sites.
