Prenosne laboratorijske naprave pripomorejo k zmanjševanju časa obravnave pacientov, saj z njimi znatno zmanjšamo čas od odvzema krvi do prikaza laboratorijskih rezultatov. Metodologija: V zaključnem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela. Do strokovne literature smo dostopali preko baz podatkov: COBISS, PubMed, CINAHL, Medline, Google Učenjak in DKUM. V empiričnem delu raziskave smo uporabili metodo anketiranja.

Title:Contribution of the use of portable laboratory devices in emergency medicine
Abstract:Introduction: The contribution of the use of portable laboratory devices in emergency medicine is to ensure reliable and rapid diagnosis in a vitally endangered patient. Portable laboratory devices help to reduce the time of treatment of patients, as they significantly reduce the time from blood collection to the display of laboratory results. Methodology: In the thesis, we used a descriptive method of work. We accessed the professional literature through databases: COBISS, PubMed, CINAHL, Medline, Google Scholar and DKUM. When searching for literature, we limited ourselves to literature that is not older than 10 years. In the empirical part of the research, we used the survey method. The questionnaire contained closed-ended and combined questions. The data we obtained were analysed and displayed using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. In the thesis we used a descriptive statistical method of data analysis. Results: The research revealed that laboratory devices are used on a daily basis in many patients, reducing the time required to display the most urgent laboratory results. The leading problems we identified, however, were the extremely expensive purchase of portable laboratory devices and expensive consumable cartridges. Discussion and Conclusion: In the thesis we found that the contribution of portable laboratory devices is satisfactory and exceeds the disadvantages they have.
