Prednosti so hitrejše prepoznavanje stanja pacienta, boljša in kakovostnejša obravnava, hitrejše odločitve in manjša poraba denarnih sredstev.

Title:Validation of the simulator for examination of the trauma patient with ultrasound
Abstract:Introduction: Simulation enables different kinds of training in the field of ultrasound training. The knowledge acquired in the simulation centres enables us to upgrade our existing knowledge and thus provide a higher quality patient treatment. In the simulation centre we have used ultrasound phantom to acquire data which would be useful for better training. Methods: The purpose of the thesis was to present phantom-based images and compare them to the real images from the field. The ultrasound device was set following the protocol recommended by the producer. The FAST model was used to produce phantom-based images. After comparing the phantom-based and real images we have acquired the anticipated results. Results: It was found that phantom-based images correlate with real images well. The FAST model is the model most often used with traumatised patients. With the development of the ultrasound, its applicability has become more widespread since the medical staff has used it in and out of hospital. The advantages of using the FAST model are that it enables the staff to identify a patient’s condition faster, offer better and higher quality treatment, make decisions faster and spend less money. Discussion and conclusion: It is very important that the examiners have sufficient knowledge and experience when executing the examination using FAST and handling the ultrasound. The simulation centre enables the examiners to use models and thus acquire additional knowledge and experiences, so they can offer better and higher quality treatment to their patients. Staff-training is the proper way to raise the quality of work performed in an organisation.
