Abstract:Cestni promet povezuje mesta in države z razpletenim cestnim omrežjem. Ob prelomu tisočletja je Švedska predstavila in v svojo politiko varnosti cestnega prometa implementirala Vizijo nič, do takrat še nepoznan koncept v prometni varnosti.

Title:Vision zero in road safety: swedish implementation
Abstract:Road transport connects cities and countries with an extensive road network. With the development of the industry and the need for transit, passenger cars have become increasingly accessible. With accessibility, the use has also increased. The road network became flooded with vehicles. Road traffic rules regulate traffic regimes in different ways. With the increase in the frequency of vehicles, the possibility of accidents also increased. Over time, traffic accidents have become one of the main causes of death in modern societies. Countries around the world have begun to address the issue of road safety in different ways. At the turn of the millennium, Sweden introduced and implemented Vision zero, hitherto unknown concept in road safety into its road safety policy. The goal of Vision zero is, as the name suggests; zero fatalities in road traffic. Over time, countries have begun to implement the successful Swedish model of road safety in various ways. Vision Zero involves a wide range of road users. Vision Zero is a goal that may be unattainable, but it gives direction and guides us for the protection of life and health of individuals and society. Slovenia soon followed the example of others. The vision of zero was eventually introduced into nation road safety policy. With the independence of the Republic of Slovenia, new laws in the field of transport legislation followed. Gradually Vision zero also became a part of the Slovenia's traffic safety resolutions.
