Abstract:Rolkanje kot subkultura predstavlja sožitje med različnimi subkulturami in pojavnostmi, kot so glasba, potovanja, arhitektura, šport, kolektivnost, duhovni razvoj človeka itd. Magistrsko delo podrobneje raziskuje in predstavlja navedeno tematiko.

Title:Video game as media: Analysis of the transfer of subcultural elements from the game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 into the subculture of skateboarders
Abstract:Skateboarding as a subculture represents the coexistence between different subcultures and aspects such as music, travel, arhitecture, sport, collectivity, spiritual development of man, etc. Many people discovered this by playing the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. Since there are many skateboarders who have played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, but there is not much research into the extent to which its impact has been transferred to skateboarders, this master's thesis provides a more thorough research and presentation of this subject. The thesis provides findings on the extent of the impact the video game had on members of the selected skateboarding subculture. We also briefly described the history of skateboarding, defined it from the perspective of a subculture, and defined the video game as a medium. The video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 was subject to a detailed analysis by way of comparing elements of the video game with reality. The influence of the video game on the player is supported by images, quotes from respondents, and the analysis of interviews shown in graphs.
